San Fernando City, La Union- Forty-five (45) newly appointed and promoted employees of the Department and Environment and Natural Resources Region 1 under the helm of Regional Executive Director Atty. Crizaldy M. Barcelo accepted greater responsibility as they took their oath of office before their families, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and DENR 1 Key Officials last April 22, 2024, at Hotel Ariana and Restaurant, Paringao, Bauang, La Union.

RED Barcelo, who administered the oath challenged the appointees to prove that the Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB) had made the right decision in choosing them for their positions by setting forth quality of service and performance. He also inculcated to everybody that patience is an invaluable characteristic of a successful person and that the lack of this virtue is the worst enemy of ambition because good things take time and so as the right opportunity.
