𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗥- 𝗜 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗨𝗠 𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte – In line with the celebration of the 2024 World Water Day (WWD) with the theme, “Water for Peace; PagkakaisaTungo sa Seguridad Pantubig,” the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Region I (DENR-I) through the Licenses, Patents and Deeds Division (LPDD) headed by Forester Nely Butic in collaboration with the Regional Strategic Communication and Initiatives Group (RSCIG), conducted a forum in several communities particularly those managing water refilling business establishments located in the Municipality of Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte on March 22, 2024.

The conducted forum focuses on the principles of the Republic Act 9275 otherwise known as Philippines Clean Water Act, which was participated by majority of homestay owners and water refilling business owners.

During the said activity, Forester Butic stressed in Pilipino, “Ang tubig ay hindi dapat sayangin, dapat nating ayusin ang pondasyon para maging matatag at maunlad na kinabukasan. Engr. Gerardo Ganir likewise, discussed the process on how to apply water permit including the

appropriate requirements to the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) relative to the objectives of PD 1067 – a decree instituting a water code, thereby revising and consolidating the laws governing the ownership, appropriation, utilization, exploitation, development, conservation and protection of water resources. Water is precious, water is life, water is the driving force of all nature.
