IO TRAINING IO TRAINING 1 resize IO TRAINING 2 resize IO TRAINING 4 resize San Fenando City, La Union- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Region- I, (DENR- I) Regional Strategic Communications Initiative Group (RSCIG), conducted the Annual Formulation of Integrated Information Education and Communication (IEC) Action Plan Workshop Cum Advance photography and Videography Training for Information Officers of DENR- I at the DENR- I Regional Office Social Hall, Government Center, Sevilla, San Fernando City, La Union on February 22, 2024.

RSCIG Chief, Renelita A. Santos welcomed the participants from the DENR- I, RSCIG, divisions, field offices, line bureaus from Environmental Management Bureau, Region- I (EMB-I) and Mines and Geosciences Bureau, Region- I (MGB- I) who attended the very significant activity. To grace the occasion, DENR- I Regional Executive Director Atty. Crizaldy M. Barcelo delivered an inspirational message emphasizing, “You need to learn Advance Photography and Videography because these subjects play an important role in our accomplishments and services to the people.” Through the activity, the RSCIG aims to formulate audience- specific, effective and innovative communication strategies that will inform, empower the stakeholders on the plans and programs and ENR management of the department in the region. The Action Plan serves as a document guide to communication strategies of DENR- I, field offices, MGB and EMB throughout CY 2024. To enhance the skills of information officers, resource speakers from DENR Central Office, Eduard Dominic Ocado lectured about Advance Photography while Kerby Pajarillo discussed about Advance Videography. The series of lectures include open forum, a workshop and on- the- spot outdoor photography and videography lesson session at the Agoo- Damortis Protected Landscape and Seascape (ADPLS), Agoo, La Union.

The new set of designated DENR- Ilocos Region information officers, armed with their own gadgets like cellular phones and DSLR cameras, eagerly and skillfully learned the advanced lessons in multiple angles and dimension in photography and videography, imparted by veteran and accomplished photographer and videographer from DENR Central Office. They’re beginning to be “environment content creators,” because video productions and photography “talk” of what had been accomplished in any environmental activity of the agency especially on fieldworks. The series of lecture on photography and videography will be a big boost to DENR- I information officers in order to cope up with the latest digital trend on camera and video technology. Created videos and photos are very vital in terms of accomplishments and the said training is one component of improvement in serving the people. (RSCIG)
