3The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) - Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Western Pangasinan held its first Awards and Recognition of Best Employees and Best Environmental Partners during the culminating program of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on October 02, 2023.

Under the leadership of CENR Officer Dr. Chester O. Casil, CENRO Western Pangasinan recognized its best employees with exemplary performance and its environmental partners’ unwavering support to the agency’s programs and projects.

During the program, DENR I Regional Executive Director Atty. Crizaldy M. Barcelo lauded and commended everyone for their efforts in making the mandate of the agency possible. Likewise, RED Barcelo thanked everyone for their continuous support in the programs and projects of the Department.

 As direct partners of the agency in enforcing environmental protection and their strong enthusiasm in conserving the natural resources, CENRO Western Pangasinan recognized: the local government units of Alaminos City, Bolinao, Dasol, Infanta, Sual, and Anda; Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)- RMATDEC Lucap (national government agency); Systems Technology Institute (STI) College – Alaminos City Campus (academe); LGU Agno (Special Patent Awardee); Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – Alaminos Sub-station and Philippine National Police (PNP) – Alaminos Station (law enforcement agency); Hundred Islands Lions Club and Hundred Islands Masonic Lodge No. 201 (civil society organization); Sioasio East Forest Developers Association Inc. (SEFDAI) (People’s Organization); EFF Builders Corporation  (Tenure/Permit Holder); Business Prime Enterprises, Inc., RAMDC Construction and Trading, Smart Saver Trading Corp., and Baldeo Rice Mill (special award (hauling of conveyances)); Tondol National High School (special award (jingle making contest champion – EMC)); Mr. Michael Andaya, LGU Dasol, and Mr. Ulysses Cacho (wildlife rescue and turnover); Boltex Development and Realty Corporation, Hon. Jesus “Boying” F. Celeste, Shining Star Construction and Development Corporation (special award (NGP Plantation Adoption); and Register of Deeds (ROD), G-One Novelty Trading, Eisenpatt Industrial Engineering Services, Jett Fuel, CS First Green – Agri Industrial Development Inc., Rillera Medical Hospital, Wilson Chua, Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines, Charcoal/Bamboo Shippers Association, Team Sual Corporation, Jonik Trading and Construction, and JASA Property Holdings, Inc. (other special awards).2

Also, CENRO Western Pangasinan acknowledged and awarded the selected employees who worked with their best efforts as public servants. The following were awarded as best employees for CY 2022: (Permanent) Mariane P. Lagera, Mariza T. Mangilit, Welty D. aBesa-ang, Raquel T. Simon, Melicio C. Tagtag, Genesis R. Sison, Gemma B. Siapno, Genevive H. Bugtong, and Joanna R Reate; and (Contractual) Jerome B. Buccat, Danilo L. Laroza, Judy Ann C. Sanchez, and Hermilina B. Rabanillo. Also, Special Awards as top performers were given to: Jess Daryl C. Clavero, Jayson M. Gloria, Pol Jayson D. Viray, and Therese Mary B. Bombase; and Leadership Awards were given to Lorenzo O. Calundan, Marlo R. Tingco, Romulo T. Wamil, Joyland D. Banut, Jorge G. Balan, Jr., and Milagros D. Reynaldo.

Special recognition was also given to CENRO Casil as he was nominated to the Environmental Awards for Governance and Leadership Excellence (EAGLE) CENRO Category. The EAGLE recognizes the outstanding DENR officials’ exemplary leadership and major accomplishments and contributions in pursing the agency’s goals.

 Present during the event were Hon. Jesus “Boying” Celeste, LGU Dasol Mayor Rizalde J. Bernal, LGU Infanta Mayor Marvin M. Martinez, LGU Agno Mayor Guadelberto R. Sison and LGU Anda Joganie Rarang. It was also graced by Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services For. Felix C. Taguba and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Pangasinan For. Raymond A. Rivera.
