Bantay, Ilocos Sur - Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Region- I (DENR- I) Regional Executive Director Atty. Crizaldy M. Barcelo personally administered the oath- taking ceremony of newly- appointed and promoted DENR Ilocos Sur personnel at the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Office Bldg. in Bantay, Ilocos Sur last January 11, 2021.

The province-wide oath taking ceremony is in line with the observation of minimum health protocol being implemented. In the brief program, PENR Officer of Ilocos Sur Rosemarie B. Jornacion welcomed the key officials and personnel. She reminded the new personnel to do their best, work hard and prove their determination to work for the good of the agency and hoping for them to strive for excellence. The newly-appointed and promoted DENR Ilocos Sur personnel are the following: CENRO Northern Ilocos Sur -Juseum Jerie Manuel (EMS I) and Marvin Sarmiento (Forester I) and CENRO Southern Ilocos Sur-  Prado Adcasan (Forester II), Vincent Ganapin (Forest Technician I) and Elvie Basabas (Forest Technician II).

Further, RED Barcelo presided the oath- taking rites with the new personnel reciting the “Panunumpa ng Katungkulan” or the Oath of Office as civil servants of the DENR. The DENR- I head executive also reiterated the Civil Service Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees and the DENR Core Values in order for them to achieve the agency’s mission and vision.

Also present during the oath taking ceremony are PENRO Ilocos Sur TSD Chief, Janette A. Pascua, MSD Chief, Jimmy M. Santos Jr., OIC, CENR Officer Alfredo R. Racoma Jr.of CENRO Southern Ilocos Sur and OIC, CENR Officer Antonio P. Ridulme of CENRO Northern Ilocos Sur who delivered the closing remarks. (GCG- RSCIG)
