Basic Life Support generally refers to the type of care that first responders, health care providers and public safety professionals provide to anyone who is experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress or an obstructed airway. The main purpose of the BLS is to provide immediate life- saving care in situations where breathing or the heartbeat has ceased. It can help people who are choking, drowning, or are suffering from cardiac arrest, and it can make difference between life and death for some people. The first responsders role is very crucial and important for everyone who needs it
Training the DENR- I and MGB- I QRT workforce in BLS is a vital part of any healthcare education curriculum. It is intended to provide government employees the information and abilities essential to respond appropriately and promptly to medical crises at workplace, home and the community.
Due to the extreme heat of todayโ€™s summer season, actual demonstration of the BLS courses were held within the premises of the DENR- I Office Building. Participants of the two- day training also undertook Post Test and Post Evaluation before the rigorous and challenging activity concluded. (GCG- RSCIG)
