Vigan, Ilocos Sur –  “We need to start shaping up and uphold the DENR Core values at all times.” This was the callout of Assistant Secretary for Human Resource and Development and Legislative Affairs Joan A. Lagunda to all DENR Ilocos Region Officials during her visit to the north as part of her DENR HRD appraisal and assessment.

ASec. Lagunda reviewed and checked the HRD activities and interventions of Ilocos Region despite of the bad weather.  She was prompt and outspoken on what she wants to impose in improving the jewels of the organization, its employees. She believes that an organization’s asset lies in its people and it is very crucial to invest in the development of employees thus, she finds time to go to the field offices to instill the core values of the agency and gave a stern warning in those not following the civil service rules and policies as prescribed by the Civil Service Commission.
