DENR beefs up efforts to improve Solid Waste Management in Pangasinan

The Undersecretary for Solid Waste Management and LGU Concerns Benny D. Antiporda (in white shirt) points at the Urdaneta City, Sanitary Landfill in Pangasinan which needs improvement and has to comply with the parameters as required in RA 9003 otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 which is on its 20^th year of implementation.  USec. Antiporda warned the SLF operator and gave them until end of February 2021 to comply, if not, the facility will face closure as the DENR pushes to stop the operation of non-compliant solid waste facilities.
