DENR-I stands for women and everyone in the 2023 National Women's Month Celebration

DENR-1 joins the Philippine Commission on Women and the whole nation in celebrating National Women’s Month as they kick off the month-long celebration with the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the #GADToKnowBooth.

The 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration marks a juncture in the advancement of women’s rights as it launches a new recurring theme from this year to 2028: WE for gender equality and inclusive society. It sparks a renewed commitment to advocacy and banks on the gains achieved during the 2016-2022 theme, WE Make CHANGE Work for Women, which emphasized the need for compassionate and harmonized networks towards gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEWE).

The kick-off ceremony was led by Regional Executive Director Atty. Crizaldy M. Barcelo showed his appreciation to the entire workforce of the DENR-1, especially the women behind the realization of the DENR-1 targets and accomplishments.

Gracing also the event were the Regional Director of MGB, Director Socrates Gaerlan, ARD for Management Services, Engr. Raymundo Gayo, ARD for Technical Services, For. Felix Taguba, representative of EMB Director, Engr. Remedios Jimenez, GAD Regional Focal Point System, Admin. Chief Mary Ann Escoto.

Among the lineup activities for the month of March are:

DENR-1 enjoins everyone as the new era of the National Women’s Month Celebration begins with the hope and ambition that WE are all for Gender Equality, WE are all for an inclusive society.
