Leaders speak …

Earth Day every day, everywhere, for everyone”. RED Peñafiel has always been consistent in advocating that it is everyone’s responsibility to be involved with whatever concerns the environment – not only the issues but also the measures in which we can maintain greener and better surroundings.

In EMB-1’s RD Joel Salvador’s welcome remarks, he stated that even altering the water we drink and misusing our land (through pollution and deforestation) already effects climate change.

Engr. Melchor Soylon of HOLCIM reminded everyone to reduce power consumption, plant more trees and reduce carbon dioxide emissions since our daily activities bear impact in climate change.

RTD for PAWCZMS Policarpo Najera thanked and congratulated all the participants in his closing remark, leaving them this insight, “Actions will spell the difference between now and tomorrow, between the present and the future.”

This activity completed the triple treat blast of DENR’s Earth Day Celebration, succeeding the lecture and Rooftop Greening Program. #
