Co,  together with some residents within the town of Mangatarem commit to support and protect the Manleluag Spring Protected Landscape (MSPL) located in  Brgy. Malabobo in the municipality of Mangaterem, Pangasinan during the visit of DENR Secretary Ma. Regina Paz L.  Lopez in the premises of MSPL on December 16, 2016. Sec. Lopez underscores the importance of convergence with other government agencies in the management of MSPL. She also urged the authorities to exercise social justice “Social justice is the heart and soul of the DENR. This is also the heart and soul of the Philippine Constitution. What’s social justice is that the land of the Philippines must be enjoyed by the people living there”, Lopez said.  MSPL is one of the oldest national park in the country. The park lies within the Zambales mountain ranges which is considered as one of the important biodiversity areas in the Philippines. It is also an important watershed area that support agricultural production of the local communities of Mangatarem and nearby municipalities within Pangasinan and Tarlac province.
